Day 01: Arrival at Cochin
Upon arrival in Cochin, you will be received and transferred to hotel
by our representative. Relax for a while and later enjoy a harbor cruise
in the evening. Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Cochin
Have your breakfast and visit the local spice and fish market. In the
afternoon you will have introduction to Indian cooking, followed by
demonstration and hands on experience at cooking various seafood and
Indian/Kerala dishes. Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 03 Cochin - Periyar
After breakfast, you will drive to Periyar, which is near the Cardamom
hills and a beautiful area with tea gardens, rubber estates and spice
plantations. Upon arrival at Periyar, check in at spice village. It’s
time for you to explore the natural beauty and wildlife of Periyar. Late
in afternoon you will enjoy boat safari at the Periyar Lake, in the
National Park. After appreciating the natural beauty of the National
park and the wildlife at Periyar, get back to demonstration of cooking
with spices. Spend the night at Periyar.
Day 04: Periyar
Enjoy your breakfast and take a walking tour of spice village. Some
people from the hotel will introduce you to the spices and cooking with
them. Besides, you can also explore spices in their natural habitat and
feel their aroma. The personnel accompanying you to the spice village
will give a few tips on few simple and easy to make Kerala dishes.
Overnight will be at Periyar.
Day 05: Periyar - Kumarakom
After breakfast you will be driven to Kumarakom on the banks of Lake
Vembanad. At Kumarakom you will learn about plucking, de-husking,
breaking, grating and finally using the grated coconut. Enjoy Sun set
cruise on a Rice Boat. Overnight will be at hotel in Kumarakom.
Day 06: Kumarakom
After breakfast, we will take you on a cruise to visit a farm. There,
you can watch the locals fishing. In the afternoon you will try your
hands on preparing few Kerala Seafood dishes. Overnight will be at the
hotel.
Day 07: Kumarakom - Mararikulam
Have your breakfast and transfer across lake Vembanad to Puthenangadi
and drive to Marari Beach. The Marari beach is situated at Mararikulam.
Mararikulam is a small village in Kerala, inhabited by the local
fishermen. This small village is a host to numerous soft sand beaches
with vast expanse of land, water and swaying palm trees. Spend the day
at leisure on the beach resort.
Day 08: Mararikulam
Have your breakfast and spend the day at leisure on the beach resort.
Overnight will be at Mararikulam.
Day 09: Mararikulam
Your sojourn with the natural beauty of Kerala continues as you spend
yet another day, filled with fun and joy, at the beach resort. Overnight
will be at Mararikulam.
Day 10: Mararikulam - Cochin
Your date with the natural beauty of Kerala comes to an end and you
prepare to go back home with sweet memories of your Kerala beach tour.
Transfer to airport for onward destination.
